This small back garden redesign in West London transformed a dark, impractical space into a bright, welcoming outdoor living area for year-round use. A bulky, poorly designed enclosure was removed to open up the garden and improve light, flow and usability.
The new layout introduces raised planting beds for structure, improved drainage and clear zoning, alongside two generous patio areas for relaxing and entertaining. A pod swing adds comfort and playfulness, while carefully chosen evergreen planting provides privacy and year-round interest.
Thoughtful garden lighting extends use into the evening, creating a space that feels calm, spacious and highly functional. The result is a family-friendly urban garden that now works beautifully for everyday life.
