Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What is included in a planting design service?

I design a perfect planting scheme, ideal for specific conditions in your garden and amount of time, love and skill you have for gardening. Being familiar with specific conditions in West London Gardens, I design planting plans that pass the test of time. You can see more details HERE.

  • How long does planting design take?

For local gardens located in Ealing, Northfields, Pitshanger, Richmond and Chiswick, I'm able to deliver the planting plan withing 2-3 week, thanks to a decade of working locally and deigning gardens in West London. For other locations, it might take a bit longer, depending on soil analysis and availability of plant from local suppliers.

  • Will I get a plant list and care instructions?

Yes, I always provide cate plants for all plants from the planting scheme, as well as for those of existing plants that we decide to retain in your garden. Instructions will include pruning, mowing, feeding and general care instructions for each individual plant. I can also advise what to look at when in the future you want to choose plant to purchase yourself in your local West London garden centres.

  • Do you recommend plants suitable for shade or clay soil?

Yes, I always ensure the plants are suitable for your specific garden and soil conditions.

  • Can you help with plant sourcing and planting?

I offer additional service of plant sourcing from specialist trade-only suppliers and I can recommend a suitable contractor to plant them, but I do not do actual planting myself.

  • Do you design low-maintenance planting schemes?

Yes, many on my clients request low maintenance garden planting, so I select resilient plants suited to local conditions and design schemes that look good without constant upkeep.

  • Can planting design improve a small garden?

Absolutely. Plants are the most important part of any garden. Well-planned planting design for small gardens adds depth, softness and seasonal interest, making the space feel more generous and inviting.
